While this will continue, the range has been adapted to better suit the needs of the specifiers who use it most and to offer a new model to the market at the same time. With over 130 product variants still to choose from, Ballofix will continue to offer system compatibility with all the Pegler Yorkshire ranges, such as Tectite Push-Fit and XPress press-fit ends. Ballofix isolating ball valves operate through a quarter-turn ball mechanism, with an internal stop, which provides the user with a clear assurance that the valve is open or closed. The valves are manufactured from DZR brass, but have the option of a commercial chrome finish and are operated by a choice of screwdriver, spanner operation and plastic handles. As previously, the valves are still available in sizes from 8mm to 28mm and ¼ to 1 ¼ BSP and such is the quality and established reputation of Proflow Ballofix, that in many cases the term ‘Ballofix’ has become the generic term for all isolating ball valves. The range includes all the isolating ball valves that could be required for both the commercial and domestic specification markets. This includes standard isolating valves, service valves, radiator valves, double check and filter valves. Also part of the range are gas valves, which can be identified by their yellow colour and are for use with 1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases*. Lockable valves and Wallfix valves complete the range. All Ballofix valves are designed for use with plain and chrome plated copper tube to BS EN 1057 R250 and R290. In water services they can also be used with PEX and PB pipe (with appropriate liner). |
